[Capital FM] President William Ruto has urged international support for joint EAC-SADC efforts to stabilize the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) under the merged Nairobi-Luanda processes.
[ANGOP] Luanda -- Angola has, so far, a cumulative of 2,886 confirmed cases of cholera in the provinces of Bengo, Icolo and Bengo, Cuanza-Norte, Cuanza-Sul, Cunene, Huambo, Huíla, Luanda, Malanje and Zaire.
[ANGOP] Luanda -- Angolan President João Lourenço sent a message of condolences to his Namibian counterpart, Nangolo Mbumba, for the death, Saturday, of the Father of the Namibian nation, Sam Nujoma.
[ANGOP] Luanda -- The cumulative number of suspected cases of cholera in Angola rose to 1,710 in the last 24 hours, 126 more cases compared to the previous period.
[WHO-AFRO] On February 3rd and 4th, around one million people, including children and adults, will be vaccinated against cholera in Luanda, Bengo and Icolo e Bengo. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Health, has the support of The World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Bank. This emergency initiative aims to control the cholera outbreak affecting the country and strengthen population protection to reduce the spread of the disease.
